Bennetts BSB - the battle continues this weekend

Wednesday, July 17 2019

The Bennetts British Superbike Championship battle for supremacy continues at Snetterton this weekend (19-21 July) as riders fight for a place in the all-important Showdown six.

Tickets are available on the gate throughout the weekend for what promises to be a tantalising weekend of racing on the super-fast 300 circuit. Adult admission is £35 for the main raceday Sunday, and kids under 13 are free.

Moto GP convert Scott Redding arrives in Norfolk heading the standings by just four points from Tommy Bridewell, with the pair again swapping positions at the top of the championship table last time out at Knockhill in Scotland. Redding was victorious at the previous round, but the Be Wiser Ducati rider knows he faces tough opposition in Sunday's two races.

Bridewell has yet to win this season, but after an impressive seven podium finishes, he has been edging tantalisingly close to the achievement for the Winchester-based Oxford Racing Ducati dealership team.

The stakes are high for Redding's teammate Josh Brookes, who is the only rider still in with a chance of claiming a cash bonus in the new Integro Triple Crown contest. Two wins on Sunday will secure a £30,000 prize after a double victory at Brands Hatch. The competition spans three rounds and offers a £75,000 top prize for six race wins, with a reduced bounty for five or four.

The weekend features two headline Bennetts BSB races on Sunday plus heaps of support action and off-track entertainment including live music on Friday and Saturday nights plus plenty of high energy fun with the Monster Energy 'rig riots'.

Fans can meet all their favourite riders for selfies and autographs at Sunday's free pit walk, and the Bennetts hub offers more chances to get up close to some of the championships' stars.
