Snetterton rolls back the years with Historic racing this Saturday

Monday, April 16 2018

The Historic Sports Car Club will transport Snetterton back in time this Saturday (21 April) for a late spring meeting on the 200 circuit.

Racing this weekend will be the Guards Trophy, Historic Road Sports, 70s Road Sports, Historic Touring Cars Pre'66 Touring cars, and the Classic Clubmans.

Fans young and old will enjoy the Historic Touring Cars in action. With Mini Coopers taking on Ford Anglias, Lotus Cortinas, Ford Mustangs and Ford Falcons, the racing is always exciting.

The 70s Road Sports Championship consists of road legal sportscars produced in the seventies and is packed with stunning models from famous marquees such as Porsche, Lancia and Jaguar to name just a few!

The Historic Road Sports is for cars that are even older and that were built between 1947 and 1969. The grids are always packed, with models ranging from TVRs to Lotus, MG, Ginetta and Turner.

There will be a 60 minute race from the Guards Trophy for GT and Sports Cars that raced internationally before 1966.

The Classic Clubmans is an entertaining series for front engine sportscars with distinctive looks. These single seater machines will sound and look great on Snetterton's long straights.

The paddock will be open, allowing spectators to meet the teams and drivers and take a closer look at the cars as they are prepared for battle.

Tickets for the HSCC Championships at Snetterton (21 April) are available online for £12 until midday on Wednesday or on the gate from £16 with free entry for under-13s. For more information, please call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
