Classic bikes and parades provide packed programme at Snetterton

Sunday, September 09 2012

A packed programme of racing for fans of classic can be seen at Snetterton this weekend (15/16 September), as the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club race on the high-speed 200 circuit.

The club was established over 30 years ago and mostly caters for solos and sidecars manufactured in the period 1945-1972. Spectators are encouraged to view the machines close up in Snetterton's open paddock and chat to the riders as they prepare for competition.

Expect bustling grids and action on track from start to finish with over 300 riders from Europe and the UK expected to race solo and sidecar machines from the 60s, 70s & 80s. Snetterton will be the penultimate round of the championship for many of the riders and there are more than 30 titles to be decided amongst the various categories.

Featured Events of the 40 race programme are Classic Race of Aces, Round 3 of the ACU UK Clasic 500 Championship, Round 3 of the ACU UK Post Classic 350 Championship, Round 6 of the CRMC Club Championships.

There will also be a parade of race cars from the Fressingfield Oily Rag Club, and spectator parades during the lunchbreak on both days.

Tickets for the CMRC Club Bike Championships at Snetterton on 15/16 September are available from £10, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
