Mega MSVR Season Showdown at Snetterton this weekend

Monday, October 14 2019

This weekend brings MotorSport Vision Racing to Snetterton this weekend for their final race meeting at the Norfolk circuit of 2019. There'll be a real diverse mix of cars this weekend with extreme prototypes, tin-tops and single-seaters in action.

Snetterton hots the final round of the F3 Cup Championship with a total of two races across the weekend. The series visited the 300-circuit earlier on in the year in which reigning champion Cian Carey took victory. The Irishman will be aiming for a repeat performance this weekend with hopes of claiming the title once more.

There will be plenty of MINI CHALLENGE action this weekend too with the JCW, Cooper Pro/AM and Cooper S categories all taking to the track. Top flight 285hp machines can be found within the JCW category, the ultimate series in MINI racing. Meanwhile, the Cooper S division is the perfect opportunity for drivers who already have racing MINIs built to other specifications but want to enjoy the MINI CHALLENGE. The Cooper division is the ultimate in low budget MINI racing whilst the Cooper Pro class acts as next step towards the JCW category.

The Radical SR1 Cup will bring a range of unique prototype style sports cars to the track this October with competitors enjoying close racing in every round. These vehicles have lightning pace thanks to their low weight and fantastic aerodynamics resulting in a 0-60mph time of just 3.5 seconds combined with equally impressive cornering abilities.

Plenty of saloon cars will provide entertainment this weekend with the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons series bringing pre-1994 vehicles to the track. Regulations permit any two-wheel drive, four seater saloons and sports racing cars of which more than 5000 examples were manufactured in any 12-month period. During race weekends the series is joined by the Production BMW Championship, their sister championship.

Z Cars Racing brings together a host of BMW Z models to race under one banner with a total of three classes for differing machines. The entry level class utilizes the 1.9 litre Z3, perfect for new and aspiring competitors. The mid-level 2.2 litre Z4 offers a more exciting challenge with its six-cylinder engine, while the top level 230hp, 3.0 litre Z4 offers near GT car levels of performance.
