Snetterton undergoes winter circuit improvements

Wednesday, January 23 2019

A number of circuit improvements are currently being worked on at Snetterton, as the motorsport venue prepares for another busy season in 2019.

A major project has been the installation of FIA-approved debris fencing along the length of the pit-wall at the Norfolk circuit. This safety-led improvement has been carried out to provide additional protection for race team personnel and track day users.

Other on-track work is due to be carried out at Riches, the first corner on the circuit, next month. This will include improvements to the kerbs and run-off area.

Other developments have taken place too, including the addition of extra fibre to aid the speed and reliability of vital circuit services such as CCTV and timing systems. The venue has also invested in a fleet of newer service vehicles.

Both the men's and women's toilets in the main paddock are receiving an interior makeover. Tyrrells restaurant will undergo a minor refresh ahead of the start of the season, ahead of a more comprehensive rework next winter.

Snetterton's 2019 season kicks off with the Snetterton Stage Rally on Saturday 16 February, before race action returns in April courtesy of the Classic Sports Car Club.
