The BTCC Diamond Double weekend is go!

Saturday, July 28 2018

The 60th anniversary 'Diamond Double' weekend for the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship is underway!

This event has been much hyped in the build-up, with drivers, teams and fans alike eagerly anticipating Sunday's near double length BTCC encounter, which will be the first 'endurance' style race for the series in over a decade.

Action starts this morning (Saturday) at 9.05 with Ginetta Juniors, with the first touring car action, free practice, starting at 9.30. The BTCC boys are back out again for another 40-minute practice at 12.10 before the regular qualifying session at 15.10. The qualifying session specifically for the Diamond Double race will take place at 17.40, with cars running with no success ballast.

There are five races today, including two Ginetta Junior contests, two F4 British Championship events and a round for the Ginetta GT4 Supercup, to provide extra spice.
