Happy birthday Ford - celebrate with us at Ford Power Live!

Thursday, September 28 2017

It's been a quarter of a century since the Ford Escort Cosworth first took to the road and 20 years since the feisty Ford Puma was launched. 2017 is a bumper year for Ford anniversaries and we'll be celebrating many of them at Snetterton circuit's newest event - Ford Power Live - on Sunday 22 October.

The event brings together the best the blue oval marque has to offer, from classics to brand new models, US legends to European icons. Fords from every generation will be displayed and celebrated - and we're offering prizes for the best of show.

Every car is automatically entered in the 'Show & Shine' and owners of exceptional vehicles can apply for the concours competition, an exclusive contest for cars with a 'wow' factor and fastidious attention to detail. Entries for the concours must be submitted in advance and those accepted will receive two FREE tickets to the event.

Other Ford anniversaries this year are 30 years of the RS500 Sierra, 25 years of the RS1800 Fiesta, 15 years of the MK1 Focus RS, 15 years of the Mondeo ST220 and 15 years of the Focus ST170. We're looking for the best examples of these iconic models to be displayed at Ford Power Live so get in touch if you own a car worth celebrating.

Paul Heath, Club Administrator of the ST220 Enthusiasts who are taking part in the event, said: "We're extremely pleased to have been invited to celebrate the anniversary of one of Ford's finest - the Mondeo ST220 -at the all-new Ford Power Live event.

"We believe that events like Ford Power Live are a very important addition to the annual show calendar for owners, as this provides the opportunity for dedicated enthusiasts who have a passion for the various models and the Ford brand in general, to come together in a unique display for fellow enthusiasts to view, enjoy and discuss as a whole."

The car displays and competitions will form part of a comprehensive off-track show at Ford Power Live, accompanied by live music, trade stands, an auto jumble, car sale, and much more. The event will feature track demonstrations from favourite Fords including F1 and MASCARS - NASCAR's diminutive cousins - and Ford owners can take their own cars on track for half or full-day open pit sessions. Prices are £85 for a three-hour session or £159 for the day including two entry tickets.

Tickets for Ford Power Live are available in advance from £15 with free entry for under-13s and special discounts for Ford owners and car club members.
