BRDC Formula 4's new era kicks off at Snetterton this Easter

Saturday, February 06 2016

There are just 50 days to go until the opening rounds of the 2016 BRDC Formula 4 Championship at Snetterton on Easter weekend (Sunday 27/Monday 28 March) and tickets are on sale for this event, which also includes a packed programme of saloon and sportscar racing.

BRDC F4 will enter a new era at Snetterton, with the new Tatuus-Cosworth considerably lowering lap times, meaning that the opening three rounds will be amongst the fastest races of the year on the 300 circuit. The championship has established itself as the UK's top single-seater championship, with breathtakingly close racing.

Top single-seater teams, including Carlin, Fortec, Double R, HHC, Lanan and more will contest the championship, and the field includes bright young talents such as Lando Norris, Colton Herta, Omar Ismail, Aleksanteri Huovinen and many more. BRDC F4's previous two champions, George Russell and Will Palmer, have both won the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver Award, so you could be watching an F1 star of the future!

The BRDC F4 races will be supported by a full MSVR-backed schedule. This includes The Radical Challenge for Le Mans-style prototypes and further single-seater action from the Super Series for classic Kent-engined Formula Ford cars.

There will also be saloon car entertainment from the ultra-close Production BMW Championship and Racing Saloons series. In addition, MSVT's popular Trackday Trophy and new Trackday Championship for novice drivers will bring a variety of sports and saloon cars to the track this Easter.

Tickets for the BRDC Formula 4 Championships at Snetterton on 27/28 March are available online from £10, with free entry to under-13s. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
