Fun for all the family at Snetterton Truck racing

Friday, September 11 2015

There's a whole range of activities for all of the family at Snetterton next weekend (19/20 September), to celebrate the return of the British Truck Racing Championship to Norfolk.

In addition to the 23-race programme that includes five truck races, three of which take place on the Sunday, fans of all ages can get involved in a host of off-track fun.

Red Dragon monster truck rides (Sunday)

If you've ever watched a monster truck leaping over heavy objects with ease and crushing all in its path, then you'll know that it must be great fun to be on board. Well now you can as the Red Dragon monster truck has been converted to carry up to ten passengers for an adrenaline-fuelled ride. This impressive V8 machine will be located on the infield near Coram and Murray's corners on the Sunday and rides cost £7.50.

MonsterTruckWildcat aerobatic display (Sunday)

East Anglia's premier display team of two Pitts Specials will perform gravity-defying stunts at 3:30pm on Sunday. The team has an impressive range of tricks and manoeuvres in their repertoire, so keep your eye on the skies and prepare to be amazed!

VIP-style grid walk (Sunday)

Have you ever wanted to be on the grid before a big race and get the chance to see the machines close-up and mingle with the drivers before they strap themselves in ready to do battle? Everyone is invited to join in before the second truck race on Sunday, and the drivers will be on hand to chat and sign autographs from 12:35pm - entry is by the podium near the pitlane exit.

GridwalkDisplay trucks (Sunday)

Meet some of the knights of the road on Sunday, when many of the nation's proudest truckers will be showing off their pride and joys, fresh from pounding the country's motorways throughout the week. Every one of them is a true enthusiast, so expect to see some very shiny and colourful truck cabs on display.

Children's entertainment

Truck racing is a huge hit with younger racegoers, and there's a feast of fun for kids at Snetterton next weekend, including bouncy castles, an adventure playground and, on the Sunday, free face painting. The adventure playground is located next to Tyrrell's restaurant, between Palmer and Agostini corners, whilst the entertainment and face painting can be found on the infield close to Coram corner.

Tickets for the British Truck Racing Championship at Snetterton on 19/20 September are available online from £18, with free admission for under-13s and a special rate for 13-15 year-olds. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
