Classic bikes swarm to Snetterton this weekend

Monday, September 28 2015

The historic entertainment continues at Snetterton this weekend (3-4 October) as the attention shifts from four wheels to two, with the Classic Motorcycle Racing Motorcycle Club on the technical 300 circuit - the first time that the CRMC has ventured onto the Norfolk circuit's longer layout.

Racing will be headlined by the final round of this season's ACU Classic 500cc Championship, with other notable highlights including the ACU Post Classic 350cc Championship and the Classic Race of Aces. This is all in addition to a full programme from the CRMC's very own championships for historic two-wheeled machines.

The CRMC package includes races for Classic Grand Prix and Post Classic Grand Prix bikes, with the former category open to pre-'72 motorcycles built for Grands Prix, TTs, and short track races, whilst the latter is for similar machines from the 1972-186 period.

Other classes in action this weekend production motorcycles, sidecars, and the Post Classic Superbikes.

All of these classic machines can be seen up close in the paddock which is freely open to spectators, and it's also an opportunity to meet the teams and riders.

With this being the CRMC's first visit on the 300 circuit, it's also the first time that spectators can enjoy these classic motorcycles from the venue's panoramic viewing banks, which offer spectators unparalleled views of the action.

Tickets for the CRMC Club Bike Championships at Snetterton on 3-4 October are available online for £10 with free entry for under-13s until midday on Tuesday 29 September. For more information, please call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
