MSV introduces print-at-home ticket facility for clubs and competitors

Thursday, October 01 2015

From 2016 MSV will introduce an innovative print-at-home ticket system for competitors, marshals and officials at all club meetings at its Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Snetterton circuits. The roll-out will be extended to Cadwell Park next summer.

The system, developed in-house by MSV's IT team, has been designed to save organisers and clubs significant time and expense by removing the need to deliver tickets by post or other means. It incorporates an email delivery system that will also reduce the number of lost tickets.

Each organiser will be given a unique login to a secure online system from where they will manage their contact lists and allocation of tickets for each event. Each contact will then receive an email with a link to download the ticket as a PDF document, which can be scanned at the gate for venue admission.

Motorsport Events Manager David Willey said: "The barcode scanning of tickets and passes at our circuits has been a huge success since we went live with that system in 2014, and introducing print at home tickets was the logical next step. We're delighted that the first to benefit will be the many car and bike clubs who organise events at our circuits, who will see a significant reduction in their admin as a result, and make considerable savings on postage too. We look forward to consulting with clubs in the coming weeks and sharing further details on this new system, so they're completely comfortable with using it ahead of the 2016 race season."

The move to print-at-home tickets follows the recent announcement that free WiFi will be made available to all visitors to its circuits, with Cadwell Park to follow later in 2016. Print at home tickets will be made available to spectators at a later date.
