Vintage Sports-Car Festival tickets now on sale

Thursday, January 29 2015

The hugely popular Vintage Sports-Car Festival at Snetterton will take place this September (Sunday 27th), with a cavalcade of pre- and post-war cars on and off the track.

The Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC) organises races for cars from motorsport's pioneering age, where Edwardian era machinery can be found alongside sports and racing cars from the inter-war years, and racers from the immediate post-war era. Entries at VSCC events regularly feature cars that have raced at Brooklands and in famous international races including the Mille Miglia and Le Mans.

The Vintage Sports-Car Festival meeting, incorporating the Seaman Memorial Trophies, will also include off-track entertainment as well as a packed programme of racing. Since its establishment in 2012, the event has attracted large crowds to the Norfolk venue.

There are also opportunities to see vintage racing at other MSV circuits, with visits to Cadwell Park on Sunday 7 June and Oulton Park on Saturday 18 July.

VSCC Press & PR Secretary, James Taylor, said: "The Vintage Sports-Car Club has enjoyed a wonderful working relationship with MSV and their first-class circuits for a number of years, with our annual Shuttleworth & Nuffield Trophies Meeting at Cadwell Park, with whom we shared an 80th Anniversary in 2014, and more recently, Snetterton, where the Club's Seaman Memorial Trophies Meeting has gone from strength to strength since first held at the venue in 2012.

"We are delighted that, in addition to the above meetings, 2015 will see the return of our prestigious Hawthorn Memorial Trophies Meeting to Oulton Park in July following a four-year absence. We look forward to bringing our ever-popular racing programme of Pre-war and Historic Racing and Sports-Cars to the Cheshire venue, where we have enjoyed a long and celebrated history. The additional attraction of a VSCC Club Day on the Sunday, featuring all manner of other motoring and social activities, will ensure a fun-filled Vintage weekend for all the family."

Tickets to the Vintage Sports-Car Festival at Snetterton on Sunday 27 September are available from £15, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
