Public invited to high speed fundraiser this Sunday

Wednesday, November 19 2014

You and your friends are invited to raise charity funds by taking part in high-speed passenger laps at Snetterton this Sunday (23 November).

The annual Passenger Ride Experience and Charity Motor Show is one of the largest annual charity events in East Anglia, with a range of classic and performance cars taking to the track.

This year's event has a spectacular line up of cars including Aston Martin and Ferrari supercars, Lotus, Caterham and Porsche sportscars, as well as classic Austins, Jaguars, and Triumphs. The eclectic mix even includes vehicles as diverse as a Reliant Robin and Norfolk Constabulary's Lotus Evora taking to the track. All are available for passenger rides and all ages are catered for, with children able to enjoy Truck rides courtesy of the East Coast Truckers.

There will also be a wealth of car clubs showcasing their cars and competing for a number of accolades.  A number of local businesses will be present with trade stands and a range of family-friendly activities completes the days offering.

Money raised at the event will be donated to East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA), the Big C, British Heart Foundation (BHF) and Norfolk Accident Rescue Service (NARS).

Theresa Taylor from event organisers Shawn Taylor Racing said: "This is an event for all the family to enjoy and makes a spectacular day! Each year an amazing bunch of volunteers and drivers come together to generously support this event and raise vital funds for local charities."

Rides can be purchased on the day or in advance at www.charityse.co.uk. The event is open from 8am - 4pm on Sunday 23 November 2014. Passenger rides are available to adults and children over 12 and 4ft 10 inches tall.
