Palmer sets the pace in Snetterton F4 pre-Winter Championship test

Thursday, November 06 2014

HHC Motorsport's Will Palmer set the fastest time of the day in the afternoon session of today's (Thursday) pre-Winter Championship test at Snetterton, almost 0.4s clear of the field.

Rodrigo Fonseca and Gaetano di Mauro were next up ahead of Daniel Ticktum, who was fourth fastest for Lanan Racing, as he evaluates a possible move to BRDC F4. Morning pace setter Zubair Hoque was fifth fastest, ahead of SWR - Caterham F1's Jordan Albert.

Harri Newey was seventh quickest ahead of Alex Gill, with Connor Jupp and Enzo Bortoleto completing the top-10 runners.

Mexican Fernando Urrutia was 11th for SWR - Caterham F1 in his first day of running in the F4 car, ahead of German racer Carrie Schreiner who was 12th for Hillspeed. Schreiner, like Ticktum, is considering a move to BRDC F4 next year.

The afternoon session proved quicker than this morning's, with all participating drivers improving their times.
