Be sure to ‘Rush’ to see F1 cars at Snetterton this Wednesday!

Monday, September 09 2013

Formula One cars once raced by Grand Prix legends James Hunt and Niki Lauda will be appearing at Snetterton this Wednesday (11 September) with local hero Martin Brundle at the wheel. He'll be putting them to the test for a Sky Sports F1 feature, and entry to the venue is free of charge to the public!

With the new 'Rush' movie receiving rave reviews from film critics, the exploits of James Hunt and Niki Lauda in the 1976 Formula One season are being showcased to new audiences across the world. Several scenes from the movie were filmed at Snetterton, which was used to recreate the Kyalami and Fuji circuits, using genuine F1 cars from that period.

Brundle will drive a 1974 Ferrari as driven by Niki Lauda during his first season with the Scuderia, and a McLaren from 1977, James Hunt's title-defending year. The footage will be shown in a special Sky Sports F1 feature which will be broadcast during the Singapore Grand Prix weekend.

All filming schedules are fluid, but it is understood that on track action will take place from late morning and run into the afternoon.

For more information, keep an eye on the circuit's Facebook page.
