Free entry to BTCC Snetterton test this week!

Monday, July 08 2013

Race fans can enjoy two days of Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship testing at Snetterton this week (9/10 July), and admission to the circuit is free!

The vast majority of teams and drivers are expected to attend the test, which takes place several weeks before the Norfolk circuit hosts the next round of the championship on 3/4 August. The test has been instigated by tyre supplier Dunlop and the hot and dry conditions of recent days is set to continue into next week.

The BTCC title race is finely poised when the championship entered its summer break last week. Triple champion Matt Neal leads Pirtek's Andrew Jordan, with the second works Civic of Gordon Shedden tying for third place with MG's Jason Plato.

Meanwhile returning champion Colin Turkington has found winning form in the brand new eBay Motors BMW 1-Series and is now firmly within the title battle. Impressive newcomer Sam Tordoff cannot be counted out either.

With half of the season left to run plenty of drivers are still in position to challenge for the title and this test is the perfect opportunity to fine tune their cars for the demands of the Snetterton 300 circuit. The long straights and challenging corners will allow fans to see the drivers put their cars through their paces.

Snetterton will be open to the public on both days with access to the paddock area available. Both days will follow the same format with unlimited running between 0900-1230 and 1330-1700. There will also be live timing at the event provided by TSL - visit www.tsl-timing.com for more details.

Tickets for the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton are available from £26 with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
