Dunlop Racing Festival debuts new Snetterton 200 layout

Monday, May 02 2011

The British Automobile Racing Club has the honour of holding the first race meeting on the Snetterton 200 configuration this weekend. Retaining the high-speed nature of the old layout but featuring the new Chapman chicane onto the Bentley Straight, which should promote overtaking into Brundles and Nelson, plus the trickier new Coram, the spectator banks will enable the crowd to see almost all of the track.

After rounds one and two, Adrian Churchill and Josh Cook tie for the lead of the Dunlop Production Touring Car Trophy. The rest of the saloon car field will be battling along the ultra-long straights!

The Intersteps Championship for up-and-coming young drivers uses Formula BMW cars and is open to drivers as young as 16 and Karting World Champion Jake Dennis will aim to build upon his dominant performance in rounds one and two.

The single seater fun continues with Formula Fords and Stuart Kestenbaum heads here with a comfortable lead after the opening rounds in the 1600 class, whilst in the 2000 Championship, Jon Finch will be aiming to build on his round one win.

The entertainment continues with British legends as TVRs and Mini Miglias take to the track.

Tickets for the BARC Car Championships at Snetterton are available from £10 for adults with free admission for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click the link below.
