Will Bratt tops final wet test session at Snetterton

Wednesday, March 30 2011

Will Bratt was fastest in the final session of Formula Two testing at Snetterton, run under grey skies. He competed with Jack Clarke, Max Snegirev and Alex Brundle for honours as the times tumbled on the wet weather tyres. The rain fell heavily towards the end and the fastest lap was posted with 20 minutes to go.

Mihai Marinescu posted the fifth-fastest time, with Tobias Hegewald sixth and Daniel Cammish seventh. The later lap times were at least five seconds slower as drivers gained more useful running on the rain tyres

Bratt said: "That went well, obviously! It was good to get some laps done. That's all I wanted to do really, so we're still looking to secure the budget for the main season, so hopefully this will be a step in the right direction and give us something that we can take to the sponsors.

"Despite the lack of track time - this is the first time I've driven any race car in about 6 or 7 months, I think we showed we're quick."
