Lotus Motorsport confirm initial line up for the Festival at Snetterton

Wednesday, June 15 2011

Lotus Motorsport have announced details of the first batch of cars to be present at the Lotus Festival at Snetterton on 25-26 June.

The amazing new T125 Exos experience trackday car will surely be a highlight of the weekend. Launched last summer, weeks before the Paris show announcements, it is billed as the ultimate trackday car.

Unlike most track cars, the T125 is styled and built just like a Formula One racer. With wings, sidepods and airbox concealing a tuned V8 Cosworth engine and semi-automatic gearbox, the 640bhp car is the centrepiece of a driver programme that includes travel, training and engineering support. The car has already been driven by Grand Prix stars Nigel Mansell and Jean Alesi and is a very rare sight indeed - the Festival will be one of the few chances to see it!

The Evora GT4 is aimed at drivers that prefer to race and has been developed from the acclaimed sports car to compete in the GT4 class. A Cosworth-tuned V6 and sequential gearbox has propelled the car to impressive performances in GT racing and it will be running on track on the Sunday.

The Evora S recently joined some of the world's best supercars in this year's Gumball 3000, with Hollywood hard man Tamer Hassan at the wheel. The actor, who has appeared in Batman Begins, finished in sixth place in the pan-European event, covering 3000 miles in 8 days, including a stop off at the Monaco Grand Prix. Enhanced with a GT4 exhaust system and body, plus GT4 wheels and suspension, the car can be seen running on track at Snetterton next week.

Tickets for the Lotus Festival at Snetterton are available in advance from £10 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click the link below.
