Classic sports cars set for Autosport 3 Hour battle

Monday, June 06 2011

A selection of vintage racing machinery will head to the newly formed Snetterton 300 circuit this weekend (11/12 June) for the Autosport 3 Hour race meeting.

The meeting organised by the Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) will see an impressive array of sports cars, touring cars and single-seaters compete around the 2.99-mile Norfolk venue.

Topping the race schedule for the weekend is the Autosport 3 Hour race. The famous event, which was revived in 2007, will see a host of Chevrons, Lotuses and MGs among a packed grid of drivers hoping to win the coveted race.

Wheel-to-wheel racing is expected when the Historic Formula Ford Championship hits the circuit. Single-seater enthusiasts will also enjoy the sights and sounds of vintage Formula Junior and Formula 3 cars as they battle for the top step of the podium.

Iconic touring cars from the 1960s are also set to provide entertaining racing, with a bumper grid, which includes Minis, Lotus Cortinas, Jaguars and Hillman Imps.

Tickets for the HSCC Autosport 3 Hour at Snetterton are available on the gate for £13 for adults with free admission for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click the link below.
