Close MX5 battles feature on BRSCC bill at Snetterton this Saturday

Monday, July 18 2011

The Snetterton 200 circuit hosts racing from the BRSCC this Saturday (23 July), with two close battles from the MX5 racing contingent a highlight.

With its front-engine, rear-drive layout, Mazda's timeless roadster is the perfect budget racer. The MX5 Championship and Cup Championship covers the Mk I and Mk III models respectively and with a huge number of cars available, grids are sure to be busy!

In the MX5 Championship, Tom Roche holds a narrow lead over Adam Gore but there are over 100 registered drivers out to challenge their position! There are plenty of challengers to Rob Boston's Cup Championship lead for the Mk III cars too and both series have just two meetings left after this Sunday, so every race counts at this stage of the season!

The Dunlop Motorsport News Saloon Car Championship plays host to cars from the BTCC, Thundersaloons and the DTM amongst a varied field and all are sure to be super-quick along the straights of the Snetterton 200 circuit. Rod Birley remains the man to beat.

The Cannons Motor Spares Tin Top Saloon Car Series also features a variety of machinery, with a multi-class system catering for normally-aspirated and turbo cars of all engine sizes.

Finally, there is racing from the Quaife Intermarque series for highly modified saloon and sports cars. Silhouette and space-frame machines race against more conventionally-constructed vehicles and are sure to be spectacular!

Tickets for the BRSCC Club Car Championships at Snetterton are available from £10, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. To book, call 0843 453 9000 or click the link below.
