Huertas and Magnussen set the pace in final British F3 pre-season test

Carlin's Carlos Huertas and Kevin Magnussen led the field on the second day of testing for the Cooper Tires British F3 Championship at Snetterton on Wednesday.

Colombian Huertas posted the overall fastest lap of the day with a benchmark time of 1m 39.521s, whilst day one pace-setter Magnussen topped the afternoon session with a best effort of 1m 39.671s.

Double R's Pipo Derani improved on his fourth place on Tuesday to set the third fastest time on day two, ahead of third Carlin driver Felipe Nasr.

Racing Steps Foundation-backed driver Jack Harvey was the quickest Briton in sixth place, behind Brazilian Hitech pilot Pietro Fantin, whilst Australia's Scott Pye and Malaysian Jazeman Jaafar rounded out the top eight.

Lucas Foresti's Fortec machine and the Carlin Dallara of Rupert Svendsen-Cook completed the top ten.

The British F3 and GT Championships will launch Snetterton's major event season next month.
