Varied grids set for high speed Snetterton Challenge

Sunday, September 19 2010

Snetterton will host two days of exciting racing this weekend (25/26 September) as the British Automobile Racing Club prepares for a visit to the high speed Norfolk track.

As is to be expected from BARC, the timetable is packed full of variety, with action from Caterhams, historic cars, modern day sports cars, and even Karts.

The Easytrack Caterham Graduate Championship should provide exciting viewing on the long straights, with slip-streaming action almost guaranteed. Graeme Smith, John Gil, Jamie Waring and Paul Turley are the class leaders, but with Snetterton's unique challenges they should take nothing for granted this weekend.

The Chevron GR8 Challenge is new for 2010, and has gained momentum as the season has gone by. These small but slippy sports cars are powered by a 255 horse power Cosworth engine, and will reach breathtaking speeds on the Norfolk track.

Even smaller, but no less dramatic vehicles will fight it out in the BSA 125cc Kart Championship. These may look like normal karts, but these pocket rockets are seriously quick, and fans can expect very close racing this weekend.

The lineup is completed by races from the Austin Healey Championship, MG Owners Club and Max 5 Racing Championship.

Tickets for the British Automobile Racing Club at Snetterton on 25/26 September are available for £10 for adults, with free admission for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
