Sumo Power GT set to appear at Modified Live

Thursday, October 07 2010

Snetterton will echo to the mighty sound of the 600bhp Nissan GT1 GT-R this Sunday (10 October) after the Sumo Power GT team confirmed that they would perform demonstration laps with one of their race-winning machines at Modified Live.

The team, which is currently lying third overall in the newly formed FIA GT1 World Championship, is making only its second ever public appearance at a non-race event, having also appeared at the Modified Live event at Brands Hatch earlier in the year.

Drivers Warren Hughes and Peter Dumbreck will both be on hand to sign autographs and answer questions, before thrilling spectators with a series of flat out demonstration laps in the GT machine.

Sumo Power will also have a 200SX S15 car competing in the European Drift Championship during the event.

The latest addition completes what should be a thrilling conclusion to the Modified Live season, with the final rounds of the 2010 'Time Attack' series for performance tuned road cars and the European Drift Championship (EDC) taking place at the weekend.

Other on-track demos include 1000bhp trucks from the British Truck Racing Association, and two wheel demonstrations from stunt motorcycles, while off track features include the usual trade stands and competitions as well as the Kiss FM Chill-out Zone.

Tickets for Modified Live at Snetterton on 10 October are available on the gate priced at £20 for adults with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For further information call 0870 950 9000 or click the link below.
