Snetterton prepares to be Modified Live!

Sunday, October 03 2010

Europe's hottest performance car show - Modified Live - visits Snetterton on Sunday 10 October with competitions, track demonstrations and a huge exhibition area from the best in performance modified cars all set to bring a spectacular end to the 2010 Modified Live season.

The final rounds of the 2010 Time Attack series for performance tuned road cars and the European Drift Championship (EDC) will both take place in Norfolk this weekend. There are three classes in Time Attack, each still to be decided, while Mark Luney looks to be on the brink of wrapping up the European Drift Championship.

The EDC drivers will race through the tricky Coram and Russells chicane section, while the Time Attack competitors will use the full circuit, with some of the quickest action of the year likely to be seen, with the high speed nature of the Snetterton circuit providing a unique challenge for competitors more used to dealing with tight and twisty sections.

On track demos include 1000bhp trucks from the British Truck Racing Association, and two wheel demonstrations from stunt motorcycles.

Off track features include the usual trade stands and competitions and a grid girl search to find a new representative for the event.

Kiss FM will be adding to the festival atmosphere by bringing along their Kiss Dome, which will be pumping out tunes throughout the day. Wannabe DJ's can also make their own music at the Kiss mixing school while those with twiddly thumbs can entertain themselves at the gaming zone.

Car modification experts will also be on hand to give their advice on modifying your car with prizes awarded to the best cars on show, while drift taxi sessions will run throughout the day.

Advance tickets for Modified Live at Snetterton on 10 October are available for £15 for adults with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
