Last chance to suggest your corner names for the new Snetterton circuit

Thursday, October 28 2010

Time is running out to suggest potential corner names for the new Snetterton 300 circuit, as our fans' competition closes this Sunday (31 October).

Following MSV's recent announcement that Snetterton will undergo a major circuit redevelopment ahead of the 2011 season, more than 1,500 people have cast their opinion on potential corner names for the new track configuration.

A huge variety of suggestions have already been made via the snettertonnames.com website, drawing inspiration from motorsport heroes, Snetterton's military airfield past, Norfolk's racing heritage and the track attributes of the new layout.

Among the proposed corner names so far are 'Brundle Hairpin' after King's Lynn racer Martin Brundle, 'B17' in honour of the Flying Fortress bombers that used Snetterton airfield during World War Two, and 'Chapman' in tribute to the founder of Norfolk-based car manufacturer Lotus.

Until midnight on Sunday 31 October, you can register your suggested corner name and reasons for your choice by visiting our dedicated Snetterton names website through the link below.
