Formula One star tests Lotus Evora at Snetterton

Friday, February 12 2010

Formula One driver Jarno Trulli took to the track at Snetterton this week to carry out a shakedown test on the Lotus Evora Cup race car.

Trulli, who will be competing for the new Lotus F1 team in 2010, undertook two days of development work in a roadgoing Evora in preparation for the launch of a one-make racing series this Spring.

"Even after the initial drive it is obvious that the car has huge potential," Trulli told the Lotus Central website. "I look forward to working with Lotus Motorsport in developing the car further and I know that my years of motorsport experience will help make the Evora Cup race car even better."

Jarno joins an illustrious list of F1 drivers that have helped develop vehicles for Lotus, including Formula One World Champions Nigel Mansell and Jim Clark.

Snetterton will be celebrating the Norfolk-based manufacturer at the second annual Lotus Festival in June, which will feature racing from the Lotus on Track Elise Trophy along with parades and displays from classic and modern Lotus machinery.

Tickets for the Snetterton Lotus Festival on 19/20 June are now on sale from £10 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
